1. Browsing and optional advertising measurement

CustodySchool uses optional Meta advertising measurement when it is configured and you allow it. Before your choice, our site does not load the Meta Pixel. Rejecting optional measurement does not prevent booking, reading guides or requesting the checklist.

With permission, Meta may receive page visits, video progress, clicks to open booking, checklist requests and completed appointments reported by the embedded calendar, together with browser, device, network and advertising identifiers. Meta uses these to report ad results and may match activity to people using its services. We do not deliberately send email addresses, booking notes, wallet details or checklist answers as Meta event parameters. See Meta’s privacy policy.

We do not record browsing sessions, keystrokes, seed phrases or balances. Guide searches stay in the current page. Meta’s reports are not a named list of everyone who visits.

2. Browser storage and choices

We remember your advertising choice in this browser for up to 180 days. When you allow measurement, Meta may set its own cookies. We also retain campaign labels for up to 24 hours in the current tab and a limited list of anonymous booking-event hashes in that tab to avoid counting the same confirmation repeatedly. A separate session preference stops the checklist offer from repeatedly appearing.

You can change your advertising choice using “Privacy choices” in the footer when measurement is configured. On withdrawal, we stop future tracking, clear the relevant first-party campaign state and Meta cookies accessible to our site, and reload the page to unload the tracking script. This does not erase data already received by Meta. Browser Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals keep optional measurement off.

3. The checklist and newsletter

When you sign up using the checklist form, you request the checklist and subscribe to the CustodySchool newsletter about Bitcoin self-custody, guidance and our services. The form explains this before you submit. We send your email address to MailerLite to manage your subscription and deliver these emails. You may receive an email asking you to confirm your signup. Unsubscribe anytime using the link in our emails. See MailerLite’s privacy policy.

New signups are added to the checklist-delivery group and a separate newsletter group. People who previously requested only the checklist are not automatically added to the newsletter. We do not override an existing unsubscribe.

Cloudflare Turnstile protects the email form against automated abuse. It loads when you interact with the email field and checks browser and network information; its result is validated on our server before sending a request to MailerLite. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. We do not log email addresses or form contents in our integration error logs.

4. Booking and enquiries

When you open the calendar or follow a Calendly link, your browser connects to Calendly. It may use its own cookies and receives information you enter, such as your name, email and appointment details. We use these to arrange and conduct the consultation. If you allow advertising measurement, campaign labels may accompany an embedded booking to help explain which ad brought you here. See Calendly’s privacy notice.

Closing the embedded calendar unloads it but does not erase information or cookies already held by Calendly. Bookings completed in a separate tab or with tracking blocked may not appear in Meta’s results. If you email us, we receive your email address and what you choose to include so we can respond. Do not send recovery secrets, wallet passwords or unnecessary financial details.

5. Hosting and consulting records

Cloudflare receives connection information, such as IP addresses and requested pages, to deliver and protect the site. This operational processing is separate from optional advertising measurement. Information and notes provided during consulting are used for the agreed service and kept confidential. Our existing retention policy is to retain consulting notes for up to 12 months after the final session. You may request deletion.

6. Access, correction and deletion

To request access, correction or deletion of information we hold, email contact@custodyschool.com. We aim to respond within 30 days. Some records may need to be retained to meet applicable obligations. Third-party services also apply their own retention policies and privacy controls.

7. Security and contact

We take reasonable precautions, but no website, transmission method or consulting process can guarantee complete security. CustodySchool never asks for recovery secrets or takes custody of your Bitcoin.
